The first-of-its-kind annual conference devoted to all things extrusion is coming to Cleveland, the US this September, organised by plastics industry media supplier Plastics Technology.
The fourth annual Extrusion Conference will bring together the extrusion community under one roof to exhibit their services, get the latest industry information and tips from world’s top minds in extrusion as speakers, and benefit from unprecedented networking opportunities.
Plastics Technology’s conference targets extruders of film, sheet, pipe/profile/tubing, or compounded pellets. The organisers anticipate roughly 70 of the world’s top minds in extrusion as speakers and an exhibit area of no less than 80 companies.
The program will kick off on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 18 with a session called General Extrusion. The technical presentations will focus on topics relative to all types of extrusion processors—resins, additives, blending, drying, conveying, foaming, reclaim, controls, filtration, training, simulation, screw design, and so on.
Additional general extrusion sessions will be planned for the Wednesday, September 19 and Thursday, September 20, followed by concurrent breakout sessions packed with presentations to give insights to specific extrusion processes.
Concurrent sessions include Cast/Blown Film, Sheet, Pipe/Profile/Tubing and Compounding. The focus of each presentation will be on new developments, best practices, troubleshooting, processing tips and techniques. This information can be applied to make operations more productive.
There will be ample opportunity to network with the sharpest minds in the extrusion business during scheduled breaks, receptions, and luncheons in the tabletop exhibit area packed with suppliers of the goods and services needed to run industry operations.
Extrusion 2018 will take place from Sept. 18-20 at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, and registrations are now open.
