In March 2019, Africa’s most important packaging, food processing, plastics, printing and labelling exhibition will be taking place in Johannesburg.

This event serves as a showcase for the latest innovations and technologies, sustainable packaging initiatives and the most progressive machinery and equipment on the market. Propak serves as a launching space for new products and services, with many leaders in the relevant industry on hand to engage with visitors and share information. This year’s exhibition will place focus on sustainable packaging and showcase the latest developments across the full industry life cycle. A number of machinery and equipment pieces will be on hand for live demonstrations.

2019’s expo will be hosting a variety of experts and speakers, who will be hosting seminars throughout the exhibitions’ run. Each day will be aligned to a certain theme. The four themes for the four days will be: New Products, Sustainability, Skills development and “Local is Lekker” South African Day. For the first time ever, the show will be hosting free-to-attend seminars. Topic discussions will include: packaging for the Future, Top Consumer Trends, Africa Insights and SA Packaging Market Overview. Skills development will be a key talking point during the last two days of the show. There will be over 20 speakers presenting across the four days of the show.

Four conferences will also take place concurrently, taking place alongside Propak Africa as a tool to provide additional learning opportunities for visitors.

Visitors to the exhibition will be exposed to over 600 exhibitors and will be able to engage in dialogue with industry experts, manufacturers and developers. This is undoubtedly a crucial event for anyone working in the packaging industry.

Propak will be held at the Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg on the 12th to the 15th of March.
