Propak Africa 2019 has come and gone and this year’s event was a roaring success!

The event took place over four days, from the 12th to the 15th of March 2019, at the Expo centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg. Over 600 exhibitors were present to show off their latest and greatest product and technologies- including Plastic and Chemical Trading!

Visitor numbers totalled over 11 000 visitors, a number which demonstrated previous growth compared to the previous showcase! Propak saw an increase in the number of visitors from Africa, with guests from South Africa’s neighbouring countries like Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and Namibia leading the pack!

Many exhibitors reported acquiring new customers and leads, as well as instigating sales to new customers- a testament to the value of the event.

Green technology was a talking point at the exhibition, and the event included a sustainability pavilion while day two was dedicated to the theme of sustainability.

Propak Africa’s event director, Sven Smit says he was thrilled by the success of the 2019 event and believes that the event benefitted all stakeholders; “We offered several exciting new initiatives this year that were of benefit to visitors to Propak Africa 2019. For the first time, there were free-to-attend seminars taking place daily at the show, presented by expert speakers and the content was aligned to the show’s ‘four days, four themes’ topics. The themed days were also part of our new initiatives.”

Propak Africa is Africa’s ultimate packaging, food processing, plastics, printing and labelling exhibition. The next Propak Africa event will be taking place in 2022.

Plastic and Chemical trading is proud to have taken part and exhibited at this wonderful event and look forward to the next one! Thank you to our team, as well as all the visitors and customers who made the exhibition such a success!
