Kiefel Gmbh has officially opened its new training centre in Frielassing, Germany.
The plastics manufacturing leader recently hosted a large family event to celebrate the completion of the centre and its opening. The new training centre will enable Kiefel to offer 80 training places, an increase from the previous 70 apprentice positions available.
Kiefel will now be able to offer training in the following disciplines:
- Industrial mechanics
- Automation technology electronics technician
- Warehouse logistics specialist
- IT specialist for system integration
- Technical product designer
The new learning centre is spread around 1500 m2 and offers Kiefel trainees and employees a modern training environment. The education centre is set to become the central hub of Kiefel’s worldwide activities and will play host to specialist educators for basic courses in metal, electrical and control technology as well as advanced training in the latest milling technology with innovative CAD/CAM technology and robotics. The building is comprised of training centres and office space, with the ground and first floor serving as the commercial and technical training departments and the second and third floors will be used as office spaces for service and the central technical departments.
“With the continued expansion of the Freilassing site, we are ensuring high training standards and offer young people an optimal start to their professional lives as well as real future perspectives,” shared Peter Eisl, the Managing Director and CFO of Kiefel.
“We are investing in our future specialists and executives and in the education and training of our experienced staff. That is the basis for our performance, our growth and our success.”
Construction on the educational centre commenced in February of 2018. The group has recently made moves to increase and improve its physical infrastructure, and this education centre joins the new logistics centre and production halls as one of the latest developments.
