XPS or extruded polystyrene is a closed cell surface sheet with a foamed centre providing thermal insulation. XPS foamed sheets keep internal environments cool during hot periods and warm during cool periods, creating a highly thermal efficient environment. A technology we believe is necessary and innovative within the African construction industry.

We provide you with one-stop solutions – from the choice of the suitable equipment for your specific process task up to engineering and manufacturing tailored production lines, which ensures maximum safety.

The Krauss Maffei Iso-board Schaumtandex lines are the leading technology to enhance productivity and cost effectiveness in the production of XPS boards. Offering perfect coordination between system components, excellent product quality, uncompromising reliability and long durability.

Chemically foamed:

A sheet with closed-cell surface and the inner core with uniform cell-shaped foam structure triggered by a chemical blowing agent under temperature and pressure applications. These chemically foamed sheets have significantly reduced density and consequently reduced raw material costs.

The in-line process for manufacturing chemically foamed sheets and the two separate working steps; compounding and extrusion, are combined into an integrated solution.

Physically foamed:

Providing expertise gathered over decades to manufacture foamed boards for varying applications with systems configured to process environmentally friendly blowing agents.

Technology advantages:

  • Processing environmentally friendly blowing agents
  • Recycling startup material, edge strips and scrap webs
  • Perfectly engineered system components
